Participate in the "Goût de France / Good France" dinners, from April 20th to May 3rd [el] [fr] [tr]

The "Goût de France / Good France" event will bring together chefs from five continents to celebrate French gastronomy. Cypriot restaurants and chefs are invited to participate by proposing their menus.

After the success of the five previous editions, France is organising a new "Goût de France / Good France" event, which will take place in Cyprus between the 20th of April and May 3rd.


On the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the great chef Alain Ducasse, dinners will be organised all over the world to celebrate French cuisine, its know-how and its values: sharing, pleasure, respect for "good food". This sixth edition will be an opportunity to honour the gastronomy of the Centre-Val de Loire region, as well as to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the inclusion of the "gastronomic meal of the French" in UNESCO’s humanity intangible cultural heritage list.

Cypriot restaurants are invited to participate, by designing a menu, and registering on the Goût de France / Good France website. The Embassy of France stands ready to provide any required assistance.

This year, Goût de France / Good France opens itself to a wider range of participants: cooking schools, tasting cellars, food shops will also be able to participate in culinary and gastronomic events. To this end, they must register in the same way as restaurants on the platform of the website

Innovation and dialogue between cultures are encouraged, with dishes that bland together French and Cypriot cuisines. The menu should be organized around four dishes (amuse bouche if necessary, starter, main course, cheese, dessert).

Goût de France / Good France is also an opportunity to remind of all of about the need to cook in accordance with environmental issues: you can find here the white paper on responsible gastronomy.

The Goût de France / Good France operation is a unique opportunity to take part in a worldwide gastronomic event.

Participants in the event will benefit from an international communication plan, relayed by the Goût de France / Good France communication team, by French embassies abroad, and by prestigious partners and major media.

In Cyprus, the French Embassy will promote the selected restaurants to highlight their excellence and know-how through its communication tools and will award certificates.
