Erasmus +, the European programme for education, training, youth and sports celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017. In France, as well as in other European countries, the "Erasmus Days" from 13 to 14 October, 2017 provide the opportunity to show the contribution of Erasmus + to the European citizens and our deep commitment to the best-known European program.
The Embassy of France in Nicosia participates in its on way in the "Erasmus Days" with this short video: "shared portraits of 4 erasmus between France and Cyprus".
Please note that on the occasion of the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome and the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus programme, which became Erasmus +, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organised an exhibition titled “European Union[s]: Ambassadors of the Europe of Tomorrow”, in the form of a monumental 135-meter-long fresco displayed in the Montparnasse-Bienvenuë Metro Station in Paris since the beginning of July.
It represents the portraits of 22 families of 18 European nationalities, couples formed by people who met following an academic exchange within the framework of the Erasmus program. These original photos taken by Frédéric de la Mure, illustrate in a meaningful way the impact of this iconic European program.
The exhibition shall be travelling shortly more or less everywhere in France, including Marseille, Bordeaux, Annecy, Dijon...
