Franco-German jazz concert within the framework of the Olive Grove festival, which has been organized by the Pharos Arts Foundation. Taking place in an olive grove of the Pharos Trust’s residency, this festival has achieved growing success since its creation and attracts a large and diverse audience.
The Erdman Quartet is a European ensemble born in 2010. It seals the Franco-German friendship through music. It is composed of German saxophonist Daniel Erdmann, Swiss drummer Samuel Rohrer, Berliner guitarist Frank Möbus and cellist Vincent Courtois.
Offering a rich and deep sound, a voluble and perfectly modulated phrasing in turns fluid, mobile, balanced and skillfully deconstructed, this quartet also has the rare quality of sounding extraordinarily contemporary while giving the impression of constantly fitting into the very heart of jazz and its history.
The four musicians create a music which is resolutely modern, exciting, fresh and above all absolutely wonderful.
